XMAS IN AUGUST?
Christmas in August? You heard it right! Christmas is happening at Shop LC – but just a little early. This holiday-themed shopping event provides the discounts you typically expect around November.
“Traditional jewelry retailers mark up their products from 100 to 300 percent,” says Ankur Sogani, VP Commercial, Shop LC. “Our vertically integrated business model means no middleman – and no middleman markups.”
Veteran Shop LC viewers already know what a treat holiday pricing can be. But for those who are new, there’s a lot in store. Buckle up because it’s going to be a wild ride!
Traditional jewelry retail prices are marked up high – typically between 100 to 300 percent. Shop LC knows this because we used to make jewelry for some of those outlets! However, we found a better way. By offering you fine jewelry and other products directly, that pesky middleman is gone – along with those middleman markups!
According to Statista, 2021 holiday retail sales in the United States were forecast to reach about 843.4 billion US dollars. That’s a lot of money! But why spend so much when you can save? You can stretch your dollar further by shopping early and taking advantage of sales like Christmas in August. That means more gifts for all the people you care about!
There’s a lot in store, and that’s no joke. Expect a showing from a well-loved brand like LUXORO, the premium gold jewelry line from Shop LC. Further, some rare gems will make a comeback (Moroccan Amethyst, anyone?). In addition, expect to find deep discounts on all your favorites, such as emerald, sapphire, and ruby. Best of all? During the event, qualifying purchases are eligible to receive free personalized engraving – it’s just one of the ways we love to help you save!
CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST MEANING
Did you know? We’re not the first to think of Christmas in August. Nope, not at all. As far as we can tell, Yellowstone National Park came up with the original concept. Like a traditional Christmas celebration, it involves Christmas trees, singing carols, and exchanging gifts.
Legend has it that the tradition began in the early 20th century. According to these accounts, an unseasonal blizzard snowed in visitors at the Old Faithful Inn. And instead of allowing being stranded to bring them down, the hotel guests decided to have a fun Christmas event. After all, it looked like Christmas outside already!
Unfortunately, no official records exist. And those who were working back then don’t recall these events. So, is it a tall tale or just a bit of (early) Christmas magic? We’ll let you decide.
