Shop LC is proud to announce our nomination for the Generous Business Awards at the 2019 Austin Gives Awards Luncheon on April 12, 2019. Hosted at the Hilton Austin, awards are presented in the illustrious Governor’s Ballroom.
Austin Gives is a program of the Austin Chamber of Commerce that encourages business philanthropy. Its mission is to recognize businesses that have pledged 1% of pre-tax earnings through endeavors such as volunteer time, products, services and financial support toward their community impact efforts.
Shop LC was able to secure a 2019 nomination due to outstanding philanthropy efforts, most notably through the Shop LC One for One program. Other programs supported by Shop LC include Handbags for Hope and the Central Texas Food Bank.
As of March 2019, Shop LC has donated over 10 million meals to hungry children in need. Each product you purchase equals one fresh and nutritious meal for a child in need. In addition, the Shop LC One for One program promotes education and awareness of meal programs for qualifying children and families.
Handbags for Hope is an essential means for Texas Advocacy Project to place life-saving legal information in the hands of victims as they transition out of domestic violence shelters and begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
The Central Texas Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief charity in Central Texas.
