As kids head back to school, millions are living with hunger. That’s why Shop LC is partnering with No Kid Hungry with a limited-edition line of jewelry and accessories to raise awareness.
“For many kids, school isn’t just a place of learning, it’s where they can rely on starting the day with a healthy meal,” said Diana Hovey, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Share Our Strength, the organization behind the No Kid Hungry campaign. “With millions of kids facing hunger in the US, we are so grateful to our partner Shop LC for continuously stepping up to fight childhood hunger.”
Three unique options are debuting – a scarf, bracelet, and pendant necklace. Each will feature the No Kid Hungry apple core logo along with other features such as the nonprofit’s signature orange color. A portion of proceeds are going directly to No Kid Hungry to help fund awareness that food is the most important school supply. In many cases, a meal is the missing link between a child and classroom success.
The limited-edition products will cost $19.99. 50% of each sale will benefit No Kid Hungry, which can help provide 100 meals to kids. The Shop LC giving program, Your Purchase Feeds, provides a meal for each item sold. The mission is to help end childhood hunger by providing one million meals per day by 2031.
