The flow of rivers, rain that falls from the sky, and the relaxing sound of waterfalls are natural gifts. And, this serenity is possible due to a natural blessing – water. Our planet is covered with 71% of water, of which just 0.3-percent is consumable.
With such limited availability, we need solutions to save water for future generations. For example, one such initiative to spread awareness is Smart Irrigation Month.
WHAT IS SMART IRRIGATION MONTH?
This initiative is based on the idea that water is limited. And, with the rate at which our population is expanding, it will be impossible to serve everyone’s needs. Thus, it’s important to to save water.
Smart Irrigation Month began as a way to educate individuals about the benefits of smart irrigation technologies and services.
For example, one form of irresponsible use are sprinklers. Sometimes we forget to turn them off after watering. As a result, this overwatering accounts for almost 50-percent of water wastage.
