Within the world of gemstones, it is rare to encounter stones that are purely colorless. Generally speaking, most gems receive their unique and vibrant colors as the result of impurities within their composition. Join us as we present Xia Kunzite, a pure and brilliant variety of spodumene.
Darkest Depths, Brightest Light
This celestial gem has only surfaced within the last few years. Hailing from the country of Brazil, a land renowned for incredible jewels, miners knew that they had found something special when the rough material was first unearthed.
Within the gem market, exotic kunzite is typically known to be a delicate, soft pink. Occasionally, specimens may be instead tinged with green. Xia Kunzite is special, however. Free of impurities, this gemstone is completely colorless, on par with the finest ‘D’ grade diamonds.
Liquidation Channel benefits from its close relationships with gem experts and mine owners. And with this find, we once again were fortunate to have this opportunity. When Milton Godinho, the mine’s owner, shared this emerging find, we acted. Immediately, plans were made to purchase this newly unearthed material. Over the course of the next two years, we continued to acquire any and all produced material possible.
