Black Friday and Cyber Monday have come and gone! If you’re one of the many shoppers who participated in these spending events of the season, then you have a ton of gifts that need to be wrapped and tagged (as if you needed something else on your to-do list). But don’t stress because we have compiled some helpful gift wrapping tips and tricks for anything and everything!

Location, Location, Location

Consult our guide for gift wrapping tips!
When it comes to gift wrapping, you definitely need to use a flat, hard surface. It’s time to get off the couch and use the table! Wrapping gifts on flat surfaces prevent wrinkles and save a lot of time.

Double It Up

Using double sided tape is just one of our great gift wrapping tips!
You may think that double-sided tape is only for kindergarten teachers and other crafty professionals, but it’s not! Double-sided tape will make taping a breeze, which gives you more time for eggnog and cheesy holiday movies.

When in Doubt, Bag It

Use a bag to package oddly shaped presents.
Wrapping gifts are much more enjoyable when the gift is a perfect shape. However, what do you do with that odd toy that your nephew had to have? For asymmetrical gifts, use a bag. You can buy one from the store or you can choose to get creative with a brown paper bag. Decorate the bag with markers or stamps to create a customized gift for that special someone.

Last Minute Gifts

Using newspaper works in a pinch when wrapping gifts!
In a hurry and tight on cash? Wrap gifts in newspaper! It’s easy, cheap and the receiver will think you’re a creative Pinterest goddess!  The same thing goes for plain brown paper bags. Tell them you were going for a “rustic” look.

Recycle Boxes

Save your boxes! They make great packaging for gift wrapping!
Throughout the year, keep boxes that you get from random products you purchased. By the time Christmas comes around, you’ll have plenty of boxes to use for gifts. This is especially helpful if you have a lot of small items that go together. Place them in a box, wrap it and voilà!

Tag Everything

When it comes to labeling gifts, the possibilities are endless! You can use photos, candy with a name or even go online and print out your own custom gift tags. Here are some examples for inspiration!
One of our best gift wrapping tips is to tag everything! It keeps things organized!

Mix and Match Wrapping Paper

Change up your gift wrapping! It's a great way to mix things up.
Use different patterns and colors of wrapping paper for each person. By doing so, you won’t have to worry about using tags altogether. Everyone will have a designated wrapping paper design. Just make sure you don’t forget which is which when Christmas morning comes around!

Tissue Paper Works Wonders

Tissue paper helps pad out gift bags and cushion presents in boxes.
If you have a small gift, but the only box or bag you have to put it in is huge, tissue paper is the answer. It’s very inexpensive, and it comes in a ton of different colors and patterns. It adds a special touch to practically any gift. Bottom line: tissue paper rocks!
Now that you have this list of helpful and creative gift wrapping ideas, packaging the gifts you worked so hard to buy will look amazing under any tree! Share your gift wrapping tips in the comments. Happy holidays!
